      Job Description

      The Risk Litigation Specialist is the backbone of our trial and legal support team. This role helps manage the critical details of legal cases related to transportation incidents"from early investigation through trial preparation and post-case closeout. You'll work closely with attorneys and other departments to support the company's response to claims and legal matters, including compliance with industry regulations.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Work a consistent full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      • Conduct legal research in preparation for litigation involving transportation claims
      • Prepare discovery responses and gather required materials for legal counsel
      • Organize and maintain documents in paper and digital filing systems
      • Gather and arrange evidence, reports, and legal documents for case preparation
      • Draft correspondence and basic legal documents
      • Obtain affidavits and formal statements for use in court proceedings
      • Schedule interviews, depositions, and meetings with witnesses, attorneys, and vendors
      • Assist with preparing and managing exhibits during mediations or trials
      • Close out and archive case documentation after resolution
      • Occasional travel may be required for mediations or legal meetings

      What You Bring:
      • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
      • Professional communication with internal teams and outside contacts
      • Comfortable with document management systems and basic office software
      • Experience in legal support, insurance claims, risk management, or trucking is a plus (but not required)

      Job Requirements
      • Must be 18 years of age
      • High school diploma or GED required
      • Prior experience in transportation civil litigation and claims required
      • College degree preferred
      • Proficient with computers and basic office software
      • Highly organized and detail-oriented
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
      • Knowledge of the transportation industry or vehicle insurance claims is a plus
