      As a Compliance and Operational Risk Governance Vice President you will work closely with 1st and 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) teams, and key stakeholders to manage the implementation of frameworks related to identifying organizational risks and mitigation of those risks inclusive of challenge. The role requires independently leading initiatives, analytical thinking and coordination or communication across the firm on complex topics. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of compliance processes including risk and controls in order to effectively assist in drafting materials, coordinate training, updating policies and procedures, as well as other relevant ad-hoc requests.

      Job responsibilities

      • Participate in compliance initiatives, and lead information sessions or trainings for CCOR initiatives to ensure stakeholders and business process owners are provided with sufficient instructions to meet Compliance’s objectives, for all areas of the bank.
      • Drive the calendar of cross-LOD communications and relevant announcements across the businesses, including partnering closely with the Technology team and LOB/Corporate Function partners to identify requirements to communicate program/product delivery, and process improvement to the broader CCOR team and stakeholders.
      • Main liaison for all program communication including rollout for new or updated policies and standards and providing directives when required.
      • Coordinate the preparation of presentation materials, ongoing review of policies, procedures, training content and other communication tools to ensure all Firmwide stakeholders are in compliance with requirements.
      • Proactively analyze operational risks to identify and make recommendations for enhancements.
      • Support senior management with ad-hoc projects or requests when needed.

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • 10+ years of relevant experience in financial services industry with specific experience in Compliance or Risk Management, Audit or Controls.
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related financial institution experience.
      • Strong project/program management skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail, quality assurance and an ownership-oriented work ethic
      • High degree of initiative, self-direction and ability to work well under pressure managing multiple competing priorities facing tight deadlines
      • Understanding of Line of Defense operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls is a plus.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively distill, challenge and influence messaging, simply articulate complex concepts, and prepare executive level presentations

      Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

      • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team environment.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, inquisitive nature, and comfortable challenging current practices.
      • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
      • CORE and CCOR skills are a plus.
