- Conduct credit analysis and help a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team
- Create written credit approval documents, which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis, as well as projections of future cash flows for large corporate borrowers
- Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of the business, financial and risks associated with a company and sector
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basis
- Participate in negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives
- Review and assign risk ratings and maintains updated credit research on their portfolio of clients
- Work with Investment Banking Coverage, Commercial Banking Coverage and Global Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintain threshold and industry limits
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Finance/Economics preferred
- Experience in Energy, Renewable Resources and/or Oil and Gas
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong inter-personal skills
- Academic training in the principals of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macro economics
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

As a Credit Energy Analyst in the Wholesale Credit Risk team, you will have the opportunity to utilize your analytical skills and credit industry knowledge to make informed credit decisions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will collaborate with various teams to meet client credit requests, while ensuring a balance between risk and return for the Firm. You will be responsible for monitoring your portfolio, assigning accurate risk ratings to clients and facilities, and maintaining a robust culture of compliance. Your role will be pivotal in assessing, permitting, and managing credit and counterparty risks on various bases. You will be part of a team that values independence and integrity in decision making, and you will have the chance to work closely with coverage and product groups to support business needs. Your focus will be on the Energy industry, including Investment Grade and High Yield Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Renewable counterparties based in North America.
