Execution of tasks related to the development and/or calibration and maintenance of behavioral and deposit modelling across portfolios of Deutsche Bank
Data analysis and statistical methods (classification, regression, data mining) for quantifying risks
Analytical support of RM clients in the risk assessment and statistical analysis in general
Focus on exploration and efficient / strategic onboarding of new data sources and design of related analytical tools
Regular contact with stakeholders across the divisions and various levels of seniority
Relevant university degree (Master or PhD) in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Mathematical Finance/ Statistics, etc.) and ideally practical experience in quantitative model development
Experience in descriptive and explorative statistical techniques, skills plus experience with relevant statistical and other software packages (e.g. Python, R etc.)
Strong analytical skills as well as strong ability to solve conceptual problems, combined with ability to work with both a high degree of independence and flexibility with respect to learning new skills or to work under time pressure if need
Ability communication of technical topics to wider audience
Practical experience with design of data pipelines / handling of large data sets and strong IT/ data management background (SQL) is a welcome advantage
Very good written and verbal skills English (full professional proficiency), German is a welcome advantage

Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Risk Methodology Specialist is a quantitative role with responsibilities for the detailed research, implementation, testing, calibration and documentation of the Group's risk management models. Role holders will prepare documentation for new models and model changes; perform statistical analysis as required to develop risk models and create detailed methodology documentation. They will either code the model algorithms themselves or specify the functional requirements for a third party to implement. Role holders is also expected to support design and execution of strategic model development data collection and analytics.
