      Position Highlights

      Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

      Summary:

      • The Medical Oncology Nurse is responsible for providing direct and indirect physical, psychosocial and spiritual care for patients with cancer and other related disease processes
      • The oncology nurse will also act as the patient’s advocate and educator

      Requirements:

      • IA RN license or compact state
      • Oncology Certification (OCN) is preferred but not mandatory
      • Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Certification required prior to completion of orientation/chemo administration

      Schedule:

      • PRN
      • M-F
      • 7:30a-5p
      • The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
