- Brook Lane is a 64 bed facility in Hagerstown, MD and home to the second largest psychiatric hospital in Maryland, serving children, adolescents, and adults. We provide a residential program for children and adolescents, and partial hospitalization services for both adults and children. The InSTEP program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment options for individuals with substance use treatment needs.

- In clinical settings, the registered professional nurse cares for patients using the nursing process, independent judgment, and evidenced based practice to assess and treat responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Maintains clinical competency and participates in continuing education related to health care issues and as outlined by appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA code of ethics for nurses.
- Demonstrates ongoing competency in practice through participation in professional organizations and committees.
- Coordinates care with other disciplines; delegates tasks to other nursing staff; supervises staff in their delivery of care and evaluation of results. Reports breaches in clinical or ethical standards to supervisor.
- ASN required. BSN Preferred. Previously grandfathered active RN’s who graduated from an accredited nursing school as a Diploma RN will continue to have ASN requirement waived.
- Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Specialty certification preferred.
