What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other caregivers to improve clinical documentation
- Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records for accuracy
- Educate healthcare providers on the importance of complete clinical documentation
- Identify opportunities for documentation improvement using clinical expertise
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license from any state
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification if possessing the CCDS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory requirements

- Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
