- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current CA RN License
- One (1) year of RN experience, 6 months in Inpatient environment
- Current American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider, BLS & ACLS Certification
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
- Six (6) months of RN experience Tele, DOU, PCU or Stepdown
- NIHSS certification
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
This is a Part Time non-benefited (24 hours per pay period), 12-Hour Day Shift 7a-7p, position. The location is at Scripps Mercy San Diego in the community of Hillcrest. Will work only on the 11th floor. No call, some rotating weekends.

As a designated stroke unit, our highly engaged nurses provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate, welcoming environment. T he ideal candidate will have a minimum 12 months of RN experience with 6 months in an inpatient setting such as SNF, LTAC or Acute Care. Experience in PCU, Stepdown or Tele is preferred.

Our Registered Nurses are responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
