      This is a per diem position, variable shift and the salary is $53.03 - $74.08/hour plus a 15% per diem differential.

      In a bustling cosmopolitan area surrounded by nature, Adventist Health Portland has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since the 1800s. In partnership with OHSU, we are comprised of a 302-bed hospital, 11 medical offices, home care services, comprehensive cancer care and a vast scope of award-winning services located throughout East Portland and the surrounding areas. There are many outdoor adventures readily available, including carving the snow at North America's only year-round ski resort, hiking along the Columbia River Gorge or taking a day trip to the unmatched beauty of the Oregon coast.

      Adventist Health Portland’s LDRP Unit has 24 LDRP rooms, 2 OR’s and a large Level 1 Nursery and looking to expand to a Level 2 Nursery, along with 3 Birthing room suites which is a niche for natural labor.

      • L&D RN’s are expected to circulate as well for c-sections, scrub experience is helpful
      • We take up to 35 weeks and above gestation patients, and monitor for preterm labor and treatment. If they go into active labor then they are transferred to a higher level facility such as OHSU.
      • Nurses do not transport, AMR is called or the patient delivers at Adventist and are then the baby is transported to another facility.
      • Adventist is partners with OHSU and we have OHSU pediatric rounders and one private group that does newborn call. We have OHSU TeleNICU.
      • Adventist currently does 60 births a month.

      Job Summary:

      Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

      Job Requirements:

      Education and Work Experience:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
      • Acute care facility experience: Preferred
      • Scrub/Circulating experience: Preferred
      • Labor & Delivery/Nursing experience: Preferred

      Licenses/Certifications:

      • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
      • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

      Department Specific License/Certifications:

      • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Required
      • Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification: Preferred
      • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification: Preferred

      Essential Functions:

      • Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
      • Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
      • Participates in discharge planning in order to provide continuity of care.
      • Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
      • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
