30 bed General Surgical unit
Free Charge RN and 3-4 PCAs on each shift
Unit Secretary availability 7 days a week
Ortho Nurse Navigator and Bariatric Nurse Navigator and Women’s navigator for women’s surgery.
Wound Care RN
1:5-6 ratio on days and nights (Discharge RN available on 6 days)
Self draw unit, PCA/PCTs trained to do blood draws and blood cultures and EKGs
24/7 Hospitalists available
Vital signs will be scan automatically.
Self schedule, only work every 3rd weekend
BSN Required due to Magnet Status or current enrollment.
Acute care Med/Surg experience preferred especially with post surgical Colorectal, Urology and Ortho patient population
- Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support
- Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements
- RN I <>
- RN II = 1-3 years
- RN III = 3-10 years
- RN IV = 10+ years
- Effective oral and written communication skills
