      The Registered Nurse provides care to patients in a fast paced medical and surgical care unit under the direction and leadership of the Nurse Manager. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through knowledge of the nursing process and age specific requirements, and by following departmental and hospital policy and procedure. Qualified candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document care, delegate assignments, relay information, make referrals, and act as liaison between patient, physicians, other hospital disciplines, and community agencies.

      Required:

      • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates (ASN) with current BSN program enrollment or enrollment within 18 months of hire.
      • Massachusetts RN licensure in good standing
      • BLS Provider credentialed by American Heart Association by first day of employment
      • Minimum one year of direct patient care experience as an RN strongly preferred

      Current Lawrence General Registered Nurses who are MNA members are also eligible to apply
