Overview
Provides support for implementation of the hospital-wide Performance Improvement program through medical record review and abstraction of data necessary for various nursing, clinical, and medical staff studies and performance evaluations in progress. Reviews and prepares records for physician FPPE and OPPE activities. Facilitates Performance Improvement teams working on mandatorily reported quality indicators. Assists with reviews necessary for continuous survey readiness as requested. Reports to the Director of Quality Management.
Qualifications
Education:
Current Alabama RN license or current RN multi-state license. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years in hospital setting. Performance improvement and/or Quality Assurance experience preferred. Critical pathway development and/or case management experience beneficial.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Exhibits advanced verbal/writing skills in English, demonstrates ability and willingness to work with all employees, department managers, and medical staff; demonstrates ability to be flexible and versatile and to manage a sometimes stressful work environment related to the variety of disciplines and assignments in the Quality Management Department; commands basic computer skills.
