- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Participates as a team member in support of the total perioperative process
- Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow- up/intervention
- Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
- Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
- Provides patient/staff education
- Addresses patient needs during admission to the endoscopy suite, with attention to the requirements specific to the outpatient setting
- Identifies the patient and correct procedure according to policy and procedure and communicates with all members of the surgical team
- Supervises and directs patient care in an endoscopy room
- Addresses patient needs during admission to the endoscopy room, with attention to requirements specific to the outpatient setting
- Transports patients to the endoscopy room observing policy and procedure, safety requirements and patient needs
- Identifies the patient and correct procedure according to policy and procedure and communicates with all members of the surgical team
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
- North Carolina or Compact RN license
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- BLS/CPR Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Endoscopy experience
- Ambulatory surgery center experience
- IV Conscious Sedation training
- Customer Service
