      The role you’ll contribute:

      The Nurse Residency Clinical Educator has responsibilities for the Nurse Residency Program within the West Florida Division. The Nurse Residency Clinical Educator will oversee and manage including but not limited to, the Transition Nurse Programs, and International Nurse Program. The position’s focus is on the daily requirements of these programs including management of accreditation requirement compliance, supporting program recruitment and retention, management of resident needs including preceptor selection and orientation schedules, seminar and training facilitation, and any unit/departmental recognition and celebration activities. This position is responsible in supporting new associates during recruitment, interviewing, on-boarding, and rounding with nurses and leaders while in the designated timeframe of all programs.

      · Responsibilities include but not limited to the orientation/onboarding of nursing residents, transition nurses, and international nurse programs.
      · Actively collaborate and engage in the entire orientation/onboarding process of new transition-to-practice nurses during their first year. This includes participating or leading development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating on-boarding and orientation programs for new associate.
      · Ensures that transition-to-practice programs including preceptorship and mentorship are promoting employee retention.
      · Validates desired outcomes and positive learning environment is achieved during orientation period.
      · Promotes cost effectiveness through implementation of efficient orientation/onboarding practices.
      · Role models organizational and personal commitment to new team member success.
      · Verifies that the participants meet the transition-to-practice requirements.
      · Coordinates the daily operations of residency, transition nurses, nurse externs, and international nurse programs under the direct supervision of the Learning Operations Manager.
      · Supports nursing leadership, preceptors, and program nurses to ensure a smooth and effective educational environment. Includes supporting the new nurse specific to their unit-based educational activities and skills competency.

      The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

      · Associate Degree of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
      · Five years of clinical nursing experience.
      · Must be enrolled in BSN within one year of hire.
      · Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
      · AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification .
      · AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
