What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle calls on demand and provide interpretation between Rohingya and English speakers
- Maintain professionalism and use appropriate terminology
- Process information quickly and accurately, recognizing cultural differences
- Interpret in a wide range of industries including healthcare, government, finance, and law
- Speak clearly and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout interpreting sessions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Fluency in Rohingya and English, including cultural dynamics
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
- Education or work experience in language-related fields preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation
- Ability to adapt to technology enhancements
- Proficiency in reading and writing the requested languages
