Job Description

For the 2024 edition of the Roland Berger Digital Challenge, we invite you to join other highly motivated and talented students to experience an intense and challenging journey as a member of a consulting team, tackling a real-life business case.

This year, the case cracking challenge will support Montreal-based startup Off/Script’s vision of bridging the gap between digital concepts and tangible products. Off/Script is renowned for its dynamic, community-fueled platform that simplifies product creation. Its AI-enhanced design studio enables creators to easily produce mock-ups, and its comprehensive manufacturing network facilitates the evolution of these concepts into market-ready physical products.

The competition is the ideal opportunity for you to demonstrate your business know-how, team spirit, leadership potential and analytical skills. Our consultants will be there to guide you throughout the case and assess the solution you present to a board comprised of our senior team members and Off/site's management. Beyond the intellectual challenge, we have also prepared an exciting networking session and other social activities.

The competition will be held from March 20th to March 23rd.

Wednesday, March 20th

Introduction

You will receive the case by e-mail to get acquainted with the case before meeting the client and your colleagues.

Thursday, March 21st (5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

Kickoff cocktail

You will be invited to the kickoff cocktail. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the challenge ahead and meet your team. In addition, our consultants will be hosting a coaching session. During this evening, you will have the possibility to network with consultants of Roland Berger and the management of Off/script.

Friday, March 22nd (All day)

Case cracking

You will be invited to a day of case cracking in Roland Berger's offices in Montreal and Toronto, where a room will be dedicated to your team to solve the case. During this day, you will have a customer interaction with the management of Off/script. You will also have a personalized coaching session with Roland Berger consultants to review your work, align your priorities and structure your recommendations.

Saturday, March 23rd (8:30 a.m. – 14:30 p.m.)

Final presentation

The final presentations will be held on Saturday morning at Roland Berger's Montreal and Toronto offices. You will also have the opportunity to attend a workshop on how to prepare for consulting interviews with Roland Berger consultants. The RB Digital Challenge will end with a closing cocktail where the winning team will be unveiled.

Qualifications

• Bilingual French & English – at a minimum, an understanding of both languages is required (for Montreal applications)
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or M.Sc program
• All programs are eligible – administration, engineering, business analytics, computer programming, law, medicine and all others!
• Applications on an individual basis – we will form diversified and balanced teams
• Be available for:
  • Kickoff cocktail on Thursday, March 21th in the evening (5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
  • Day of case cracking Friday, March 22nd (full day)
  • Day of the final presentation on Saturday, March 23rd (8:30 am - 2:30 pm)

The application deadline is Monday, February 26th, at 23:59 p.m., after which you will have the opportunity to introduce yourself through a short video. The results of the selection and the invitations will be conveyed no later than March 8th.
