      Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Room Service Server for the Hilton in Harrisburg, PA .

      GENERAL PURPOSE

      Responsible for set-up, deliver and retrieve all food and beverage orders to guest rooms and hospitality suites while ensuring quality service, guest satisfaction and the achievement/maintenance of company standards and profit maximization.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

      Set-up and deliver all food and beverage orders in accordance with established guidelines, procedures and policies as prescribed by company standards.

      Conduct floor sweeps and retrieve all food and beverage trays in order to maintain established sanitation guidelines.

      Set-up and deliver all VIP amenities.

      Service all hospitality suites in accordance with BEO and established policy and procedures.

      Complete all shift side work as outlined in the hotel's operating policies and procedures.

      Respond to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales. Report all communications to immediate shift supervisor.

      Perform all cash handling responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

      No travel time required

      Scheduled hours and days may vary based on need.

      OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

      Maintain all inventories of needed supplies.

      Answer the telephone and take all customer orders in accordance with operating policies and procedures.

      Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

      Participate in task forces and/or committees as required.

      JOB QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge

      English communication skills. Hospitality and/or serving skills preferred.

      Skills

      Must have good comprehension and be able to communicate with guests one-on-one. Accommodations may be provided.

      Must have excellent vision. Emphasis on cleanliness standards, quality control, and continuous movement throughout hotel.

      Must have good speech in order to communicate with guests one-on-one.

      Must have excellent comprehension in order to take and communicate orders from guests and respond to special requests.

      Abilities

      Lifting trays, equipment, dishware, etc., up to 30 lbs. Pushing, pulling racks, etc., up to 75 lbs. Carrying orders, equipment, up to 25 lbs.

      Bending up to 30% of shift, retrieving equipment, tray removal, etc.

      Mobility - continuous movement throughout hotel - 80% of shift.

      Continuous movement throughout hotel - 80% of shift.

      Continuous standing to fill, check, delivers orders, 60% of shift.

      May have to climb steps.

      No driving required.

      Education/Formal Training

      Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

      Experience

      One year of employment in a related field with this company or other organization(s) preferred.

      Material/Equipment Used

      Computer, cash register, calculator, coffee maker, toaster.

      Environment

      Inside 100% of shift.
