Job Description
- Req#: 25202
- Program Objective: To provide an engineering foundation and career track for future leaders as managers or innovators for NORMA Group.
- The assignments are located in Auburn Hills, and St. Clair Michigan.
- Upon successful completion of the program, incumbents are placed into positions within the organization where they can best apply their skills and experiences
- PPAP/APQP
- Corrective Action and tools necessary to find true root cause
- Gage Calibration, Gage R&R, Process Capability
- Process and Product Audit definition and execution
- Supervision, Production
- Define OEE, methodically take actions to improve using A3 format
- PFMEA and link from DFMEA and to the Control Plan
- APQP as it pertains to process definition of new products
- Practical understanding of core documentation (Engineering Spec, DFMEA, DVP&R)
- Experience with commonly used tools such as parametric CAD, FEA, Windchill, EWO’s
- Interpretation of drawings, performance of tolerance stacks, and comprehension of GD&T
- Laboratory prototyping & testing processes: understand capabilities & hands-on experience
- Typical metals forming processes and Design for Manufacturing
- Understanding/execution of design change process
- Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
- Practical application of engineering technology
- Design Verification and Validation Planning

NORMA Groups’ Rotational engineering program is designed to introduce new engineering talent into the organization through a comprehensive two-year training program spanning all business units. Incumbents complete four rotational assignments, each six months in length, covering a variety of engineering career paths including projects, applications, R&D, manufacturing operations, and process innovation.

Bachelors/Masters Degree graduates in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
