      Schwab Advisor Services (AS), a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc . is the leading provider of custody, trading, technology, and operational support to registered independent advisory firms ( RIAs ). In addition to custody services, Schwab Advisor Services provides practice management and consultative support to help independent advisors start, build, and grow their businesses.

      The Operational Effectiveness Team’s mission is to increase advisor, client, and business partner satisfaction by improving the efficiency of Schwab’s operational processes and platforms. To accomplish its mission, the team develops strategies and executes project plans for operations based initiatives; uses data driven analysis and process optimization techniques to identify and implement workflow solutions; and creates tools and programs to monitor, drive, and sustain operational process improvements.

      Creating efficient and scalable processes is critical to the long-term success of the Advisor Services organization, and this position will be a key contributor to this strategic priority. The AS Process Automation Manager is a new individual contributor position that will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and setting up automated processes to maximize efficiency for the AS business using the RPA platform UIPath and Excel macros. This role will:

      • Review and refine business cases to optimize, improve and automate business processes to deliver the desired business outcome.
      • Gather and define project requirements
      • Design, develop, test, deploy and document RPA and Excel automation workflows
      • Solve day-to-day issues arising during automation projects with timely resolutions
      • Support existing automations/processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
      • Validate the automation results and monitor KPIs

      What you have


      Required Qualifications

      • Experience (2 years) with software development and/or RPA technologies
      • Experience (2 years) analyzing operational business processes to identify automated improvement opportunities
      • Passion and enthusiasm for identifying out-of-the-box opportunities to expand the company’s automation ecosystem
      • The ability to quickly understand business processes in terms of inputs, outputs, and decision points
      • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
      • Meticulous and detail-oriented approach
      • Ability to effectively engage and work with a variety of roles and teams
      • Advanced communication skills (both written and verbal)

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Management Information Systems
      • Programming and scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, C, C++, Python, Java, etc.)
      • UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer
      • UiPath Certified RPA Associate
      • Experience with operational processes and technologies
