      Job Title : Ruby Consultant

      Location : COLUMBUS, OHIO

      Contract

      • Develop and maintain Ruby language application code
      • Plan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate moderately complex software for functional areas.
      • Analyze existing software or work to formulate logic for moderately complex new systems. Understand the interface requirements and configuration architecture.
      • Create Design Document for the integration.
      • Configure the application points as per specification using Java and Angular.
      • Perform code review, and shake down test and deliver Work in Agile environments
      • Ability to work on technology Plug-ins, Messaging, API
      • Strong capabilities in relational databases, message queues, and batch systems.

      Competencies Digital : Ruby on Rails, Property Casualty in Insurance, Test Automation

      Experience (Years) 4-6

      Essential Skills

      • 2+ years of development experience in Ruby and in Cucumber framework
      • Ability with Ruby programming.
      • 3+ years of experience with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
      • Configure screen layouts including creation of new screens (PCFs).
      • Good working knowledge of Ruby/Cucumber Configuration and Integration work areas.
      • Expertise in configuring and developing several areas in Domain (Policy Transactions/Job Configuration Experience implementing multiple Personal LOBs Product Modeling, Quoting, Rating Management, Forms Management, Policy Revisioning, UW Authority, Account Management, Batch Framework and Policy Center Administration).
      • Experience in configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions.
      • Experience working within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver User stories.- Prior experience performing minor and major enhancements and software upgrades.
      • Functional Implementation Maintenance Support project experience. ? Experience in Personal lines of Insurance business: General Liability or Professional Liability will be a plus.

      Desirable Skills Good knowledge in Ruby and Cucumber Framework along with TOSCA ? Ruby Developer with expertise building applications mainly in Insurance Domain ? Building Ruby APIs as middle layers.
