Oversees and monitors the workload and performance of the Safety and Security team.
Guides team through work issues and answers questions.
Collaborates with team members to establish performance goals and monitors status.
Conducts performance reviews and provides feedback.
Participates in the hiring process as openings arise and recommends salary adjustments for team members.
Resolves disciplinary issues, reviews results, action plans, and progress.
Provides training for the team.
Develops team knowledge and assists with succession planning, including identifying talent.
Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Fosters an innovative culture, including supporting new ideas and providing guidance on potential changes.
Develops policies and procedures for effective emergency management.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulations and laws and develop business continuity plans.
Serves as a subject matter expert, developer, and trainer of EMC’s Emergency Response Team for incidents and emergencies.
Oversees and maintains security systems and devices across the corporate campus and branch offices. Performs system and risk assessments, troubleshoots errors, and manages projects related to system issues
Reviews and updates existing standard operating procedures and develops new standard operating procedures pertaining to all systems utilized
Manages relationships with service providers and prioritizes service needs. Reviews invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding in the accounts payable system. Recommends and negotiates contract adjustments
Partners with IT to oversee system database integration, collaborates with service providers for additional maintenance, and recommends new replacements or enhancements to safety and security systems
Conducts safety/risk assessments to identify hazards and associated risks
Develops and updates policies, procedures, and written programs to eliminate or mitigate risks. Implements new or modified procedures and provides training for staff
Analyzes compliance of safety programs with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborates with all affected areas and document programs
Investigates incidents, documents, and ensures accurate reporting within the incident management system
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, safety management, environmental health, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Five years of experience in safety, security, risk management, environmental health, or related field
Prior leadership experience preferred
Current CPR and AED certifications required within 6 months of hire
Prior experience with conducting and designing training programs
CSP Safety certification preferred
Excellent knowledge of security, surveillance, fire/life safety, visitor management and incident management systems
Excellent knowledge of safety programs and systems
Ability to build relationships across multiple offices and corporate departments
Strong verbal and written communication
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Strong skill in organizing and establishing priorities
Excellent project management skills
Proficiency with personal computers and computer systems
Ability to perform CPR/AED as first responder
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of corporate information and security protocols
Ability to occasionally work weekends, nights, and holidays up to 10-hour shifts on rotation
Occasional travel required; a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $70,646.00 - $97,367.00 range or the $77,900.00 - $107,353.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
