      Position Title: Part-time Security Officer, Safety and Security

      Department: Safety & Security – 4020

      Classification: Non-exempt

      Direct Report: Senior Manager, Safety & Security

      Position Summary:

      The Part-time Security Officer, Safety & Security shall be responsible for the implementation of security policies and procedures of the department under the direction of the Manager of Safety & Security. Duties include but are not limited to patrolling the parking deck, interior/exterior, and dock areas of the facility, securing all staff and guest entry/exit points, completing written incident reports and departmental documents, and responding to emergency and/or non-emergency situations.

      Responsibilities:

      1. Complete shift assignments as required in accordance with established policies/procedures.
      2. Patrol of facility, locking/unlocking doors as needed, being aware of suspicious activity.
      3. Complete written incident reports and departmental documents.
      4. Perform crowd management.
      5. Perform physical security, crime prevention and safety inspections.
      6. Operating all security devices.
      7. Respond to Safety & Security related situations.
      8. Investigate complaints or calls for service.
      9. Provide safety escorts.
      10. Serve as a point of information to the public.
      11. To perform other duties as workload necessitates.

      Qualifications:

      1. High School diploma/GED required.
      2. Superior customer service/ relations experience as well as an approachable demeanor required.
      3. Previous 3 years experience in a security related field preferred.
      4. Valid Georgia Driver's License
      5. Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks in a fast-paced, busy environment.
      6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills required.
      7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
      8. Previous experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
      9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
