      Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Dallas, TX. The Safety Coordinator will facilitate and manage field and shop site safety. The Field Safety Coordinator is also responsible for continued training development and ensuring all OSHA rules and regulations are being followed while working to enhance operational efficiency. Proactive communication and teamwork is essential to be successful in this position. This individual is responsible to look out for the best interest of the company at all times. The Field Safety Coordinator will work directly with our Director of Safety and each CBSS General Manager.

      Job Location: Dallas, TX

      Essential functions:

      • Manage and facilitate all safety workshops, talks and audits.
      • Keeps managers and employees aware of training and coordinates training activity.
      • Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc. as they apply to the safety program.
      • Assist operations in accident / incident preventions and hazards recognition.
      • Assist in accident and incident investigations and reports.
      • Actively observe for all unsafe conditions or acts.
      • Provide injury management from the initial accident / incident through the complete cycle of managing the injured employee.
      • Inspects and tours CBSS shop facilities/project sites to detect existing or potential physical and health hazards, and recommends corrective actions and preventative measures where indicated.
      • Conduct orientation for new hires.
      • Use lessons learned from previous incidents to supplement basic skills instructions.
      • Keeps the facility management team informed of safety concerns.
      • Conduct shift change safety talks with employees (group) .
      • General (weekly) safety topics to promote safety (H2S, PPE’s, JSA, Stop Work Authority etc.)
      • Apply intellect, creativity, adaptability, judgment, and management skills to achieve required results.
      • Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
      • Support peers and management with internal and external projects.
      • Adhere to company policies.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Basic Requirements:

      Education: High School Diploma

      Experience: Five (5) years previous safety experience preferred.

      Physical Skill & Effort:

      • Servant Leadership attitude – the purpose is to protect and train our people
      • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures
      • Availability to work various weekends and evenings as required by individual projects and jobsites
      • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

      Working Conditions and Hazards: This job operates in an industrial/construction environment and it is a physically demanding role. Significant driving is also required throughout the assigned region - up-to 75% of week. Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis.
