Safety Coordinator (Hybrid Remote Schedule)

Job Description

- Conduct and monitor monthly task reviews and safety inspections to include facilities, equipment, trucks, and work practices.
- Review, analyze, and document driving videos.
- Oversee the management of the truck inspection portal.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective action.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local laws, and company policies.
- Assist in implementing emergency response plans and conducting drills.
- Ensure safety signage, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and first aid kids are properly maintained.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs and newsletter content.
- Promote employee participation in safety initiatives and activities, promoting safety awareness and a positive safety culture across all departments.
- Monitor and distribute personal protective equipment.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including training records and inspection logs.
- Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend preventative measures.
- Provide general support to complete special projects as requested.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must obtain Incident Investigation Specialist certifications within the first year of hire.
- Must complete OSHA 10-hour certification
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and undertake repetitive motions. There may be substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers; must be able to reach with hands and arms and have adequate hearing. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
