      An exciting opportunity has arisen to join DHL Air as a Risk Analyst in our Safety Department.

      The Role:

      Your primary role is to provide advice and support to line managers so that they can fulfil their safety responsibilities, including hazard identification, risk assessment as well as risk mitigation.

      Your main duties will include:

      • Reviewing, processing, actioning, monitoring to conclusion and closing all safety occurrence reports, thereby ensuring that events are investigated and the appropriate closing action is undertaken
      • Reporting of mandatory occurrences to the UK Civil Aviation Authority and RIDDOR reports to Health and Safety Executive
      • Undertaking the preparation and facilitating departmental safety occurrence report review meetings
      • Developing DHL Air’s hazard identification, risk assessments and mitigation procedures
      • Carrying out and assisting in safety department investigations into accidents, incidents and hazardous occurrences including the writing of reports and making of recommendations to prevent a re-occurrence
      • Training of staff, including third party staff and others on the occurrence reporting database
      • Researching and undertaking statistical analysis of data to identify operational and/or fatigue hazards, potentially hazardous conditions and adverse trends that need to be reported to the departmental Safety Action Groups and/or Safety Review Board

      Skills and Experience required for the role:

      • Educated to or studying for a graduate level qualification (or equivalent) OR hold an aviation related or safety/risk management graduate qualification
      • Ideally be qualified to undertake incident investigations as well as have experience of analysing Operational Flight Data Monitoring events
      • High attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
      • Excellent administration, organisation and time management skills
      • The ability to work on your own initiative to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
      • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Excellent team working skills and be able to deal with colleagues at all levels
      • IT literate with a strong working knowledge of MS Office packages including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook
