      Enbridge is looking to hire Senior Safety Advisor(SSA) to join our LP organization. The incumbent will support stakeholders in the full and systemic utilization of the Enbridge leading indicator programs, permitting compliance processes, incident management, internal/external communications, and contractor / subcontractor engagement. SSA’s use their strong analytical, and report writing skills to review leading and lagging indicator trends to develop safety management system improvements. Additionally, SSAs are responsible for providing broader technical expertise as it relates to the business, may lead small projects within the region and coordinate the work of a small team.       What You Will Do:

      • Operationalize the Enbridge Safety Culture Framework by promoting and seeking out opportunities to strengthen safety culture attributes.

      • An influential contributor in the development, implementation, and sustainment of occupational health and safety programs, standards, safety cultural assessments and training programs.

      • Provide technical expertise to operational leadership by reaffirming safety standards and work execution management through systematic assurance of work activities and participation in corrective action plans.

      • Support implementation of Occupational Hygiene plans, initiatives, and monitoring. Additionally provide constructive feedback on program improvements to the OH group.

      • Conduct and/or participate in area/regional safety inspections and observations; quality reviews, trend and analyze data, identify areas for improvement and responsible for the development of corrective action plans and resolutions.

      • Support area in the incident management function inclusive of the processes for incident reporting, investigation, management committee reviews, corrective action monitoring and lessons learned bulletin communications.

      • Lead small work teams on problem identification, and problem-solving issues to support continuous improvement of operational reliability.

      Who You Are:

      You will have the following education & experience:

      • Minimum Degree/Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

      • Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation/ Certified Safety Professional or other Professional Board Certification is preferred.

      • 7+ years of progressively responsible health & safety experience within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry is preferred.

      • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, tactical, initiate and manage change, work collaboratively, negotiate, influence without authority, facilitate, solve problems, make decisions, work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.

      • Proven interpersonal, communication, writing and computer skills.

      Working Conditions:

      • Flexibility to travel for extended periods (approx. 10 days) and work extended hours as the need arises (infrequent) for emergency response support.

      • Frequent field leading indicator verification work and travel expectations for audits, reviews, inspections, assessments, meetings, training and field safety support as assigned.

      • Valid License and responsible driving record is needed.
