  Conagra Brands in Menomonie, WI, the producer of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa and Swiss Miss/Snack Pack Pudding/Gels, is seeking a Safety Specialist. This role reports to the Plant EH&S Manager and involves maintaining systems for tracking facility inspections, safety violations, resolutions, and follow-up reports. You will implement key safety concepts to achieve zero injuries and world-class performance. Additionally, you will participate in accident investigations and report preparation, monitor employee health and safety issues, and assist in developing and maintaining emergency action plans.

  Position Responsibilities

  • Regularly update, maintain, and distribute reports tracking the status of various environment, health, and safety metrics and initiatives against goals.
  • Support the implementation of corporate initiatives, including metric tracking systems and training programs.
  • Apply key safety concepts to achieve zero injuries and world-class performance.
  • Participate in accident investigations and prepare accident reports.
  • Monitor activities related to employee health and safety issues.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining emergency action plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management or a related field, or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of food safety, quality, and food manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.
  • Desirable skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Ability to interpret various technical information in both mathematical and narrative forms and manage abstract and concrete variables.

  Compensation:

  Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000

  The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
