Job Description

- Conduct safety training for new hires and ongoing safety training.
- Monitor and replenish first aid and PPE supplies; monitor safety shoe and eyewear programs.
- Coordinate emergency drills.
- Perform and document facility safety inspections, train others in inspection procedures.
- Maintain compliance documentation and assist with internal/external audits.
- Support safety initiatives through data tracking, presentations, and policy reviews. Act as a First Aid Responder and maintain required certifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to train, lead by example, and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of powered industrial vehicle operation preferred.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations (OSHA standards, VPP)
- Prefer 2+ years of safety experience in manufacturing or related field, or associate’s degree in health & safety.
- OSHA 10/30 certification (or will complete).
- Stand/walk 6-12 hours daily on hard surfaces.
- Work in varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
- Wear required PPE and respond to physical demands of emergency situations.

This position supports the Safety Manager in maintaining and enhancing workplace safety, OSHA (VPP) compliance. Focuses on safety, safety training, compliance documentation, and audit readiness. This is a non-supervisory role but requires leadership in safety practices and peer training. Flexibility and a proactive approach to safety are essential. This position is Monday - Friday 12pm -8pm with flexibility required for audits, training, and events.
