      Job summary

      The ARRS funding has created a great opportunity for a GP who is newly qualified. The post-holder must be within 2 years of completing their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and not previously been employed as a GP in General Practice. They will gain some experience working with the team in the centre of Dudley. They will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered patients.

      Main duties of the job

      • In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, Carrying out home visits for our Housebound patients, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, Also On call sessions as the duty Dr on the day.
      • Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
      • assessing patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
      • Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
      • Providing on going care such as counselling and health education
      • Referring to other care providers as appropriate.
      • Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
      • Issuing acute and repeat prescriptions.
      • Complete clinical tasks via Emis and Docman.
      • Check lab reports and action appropriately.
      • complete clinical audits.

      About us

      Limestone surgery is a busy GP surgery based in Dudley town centre. We have a practice population of 5000 patients.

      Our clinical team is made up of GP partners, PA, One Practice Nurse, HCA and Practice based Pharmacist, Midwife and ARRS staff. We are a training practice and are supported by a strong administrative team.

      We are part of Dudley & Netherton PCN ( Primary Care Network ) with eleven other local practices.
