- Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, on call, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. To include the designated share of workflow and path reports.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Engaging with activities such as the QOF, LES/DES and other additional work essential for providing a full service for patients.
- Providing counselling and health education.
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list
- Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services.
- Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date.
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

Job summary
The Deben Health Group Primary Care Network, (PCN), have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP under the ARRS scheme to work within our PCN supporting our for up to 8 sessions per week. We are seeking someone newly qualified within the last 2 years who has not yet held a substantive position post qualification.
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients across two sites.

The Deben Health Group PCN is set in picturesque Suffolk, just outside Woodbridge and is close to the Historic Sutton Hoo and with beautiful Constable country nearby. We compromise of four member practices, Wickham Market Medical Centre, The Peninsula Practice, Little St Johns Street Surgery and Framfield House Surgery, with a joint patient population of 40,000 (approximately), each with its unique strengths and expertise.
Our aim is to leverage these strengths and foster collaboration among our network members to deliver its key objectives contained in the Directed Enhanced Service Contract (DES) from NHS England and NHS Improvement and enhance the quality and efficiency of care delivery and by working together, we can offer a wide range of services, support and coordinated care effectively, and improve patient outcomes.
