      GP Opportunity Newly Qualified Welcome | 4 to 6 Sessions per week | Supportive GP Practice

      Main duties of the job

      1. Patient Consultations
        • Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations with patients.
        • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
      2. Prescribing & Medicines Management
        • Prescribe safely and appropriately in line with current evidence-based guidance and practice protocols.
        • Review repeat prescriptions and conduct medication reviews.
      3. Referrals & Coordination of Care
        • Refer patients to secondary care and other services as clinically appropriate.
        • Work collaboratively with other health professionals
        • Offer advice and support on disease prevention, screening programmes, lifestyle modification, and immunisations.
      4. Record-Keeping & Administration
        • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and legible patient records using the practices clinical system.
        • Complete reports, letters, and forms in a timely manner.
      5. Home Visits
        • Undertake home visits when clinically required and agreed as part of the duty rota.
      6. Duty Doctor / On-Call Sessions
        • Participate in the duty doctor rota to provide urgent, same-day care for patients.
      7. Teamwork & Practice Development
        • Attend and contribute to clinical meetings, significant event analyses, and quality improvement activities.
        • Support the practice in meeting QOF, Enhanced Services, and other contractual requirements.
      8. Training, CPD & Governance
        • Keep up to date with clinical developments and maintain GMC revalidation requirements.
        • Participate in clinical audit, peer review, and appraisal processes.
