      Job summary

One of our partners is reducing from his full time commitment so we are looking to replace 4 sessions over 2 days, but this may increase to full time in the short to medium term.

We are committed to excellent patient care, quality improvement and continuous learning.

      Main duties of the job

We provide a full range of General Medical Services to a stable practice list, all age groups from newborn babies to the very elderly (including a single care home across the road from us)

      About us

Haslington surgery is purpose built and located in a "village" suburb setting, we look after around 5800 patients (list size rising slowly with new housing development). Our practice area meets the edges of the busy towns of Sandbach & Crewe and extends out into the surrounding countryside, but within sight of the M6 motorway.

We are awaiting final planning permission to begin an extension of the building which will increase both our clinical and admin space.

We are a small friendly team who work well together. We have 4 GPs, 5 nursing staff, clinical pharmacist & pharmacy technician, dietician, midwife and an admin team which includes care co-ordinators and a social prescriber.

Career development & job satisfaction are important to us and training opportunities (internal & external) are supported

We have close links with our PCN colleagues in nearby surgeries and are part of a wider research network.

We have an active patient participation group, have good results in both staff and patient satisfaction surveys and hold a CQC "good" rating

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
