- We have a large very experienced team to support the GPs including:
- 3x Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant (Nurse-led Chronic Disease Management & QOF)
- Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technician and Prescription Clerks, First Contact Practitioner, Physicians Associate, a team Social Prescribers & Care Coordinators
- A large Admin team including a Document Workflow team, keeping the GP workload manageable
- All supported by both full-time Practice Manager and Operations Manager
- 8-9 Practice Professional Development Plan afternoons per year, allowing protected time to develop as a whole practice, clinical education and shared learning time
- Medical student/FY1-3/GPVTS teaching practice
- Keen to support GPs with special interests and development
- High QOF & IIF Achievements and a high performing practice in the area
- CQC rated us as overall Good during a 2025 inspection

Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join the team at Park Green Surgery, Macclesfield, has become available. We're looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team of 5 GP partners and 4 salaried GPs. We do our best to retain the best aspects of traditional family medicine, whilst embracing change, continuous improvement and innovation. We're based in the heart of Macclesfield with a list size of approximately 12,600 patients spanning varied demographics.
The practice is part of the Macclesfield Primary Care Network (PCN), which is made up of Park Green and five other surgeries who all work alongside each other, within the same purpose-built medical centre. We have a great working relationship and together use resources effectively to increase capacity as well as staff and patient satisfaction.
Main duties of the job
We're an established, well-run and highly regarded GMS and training practice, using a triage model since 2023. We're looking for a Salaried GP for between 4-6 sessions per week, which will include a Friday. We need a team player who is keen to support the ongoing growth and development of the practice.
Our services include minor ops, contraception and extended hours. The role would involve working some early and late sessions as part of our contract. We rotate the early and late shifts along with the duty/triage GP shifts and strive to allow all colleagues a good life work balance.
