Providing medical services to the practice population, including consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and referrals.
Patient Management:

Developing care plans for patients, particularly those with chronic conditions, and ensuring adherence to practice protocols.
Administrative Tasks:

Processing referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other administrative duties.

Telephone Triage:
Dealing with phone calls and providing initial assessment of patient needs.

Maintaining accurate and clear clinical records (using SystmOne).

Working collaboratively with other members of the practice team, contributing to practice meetings, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Participating in professional development activities, including educational meetings and annual performance reviews.
Additional Responsibilities:

Adhering to practice policies and guidelines, including those related to prescribing, confidentiality, and data protection.

On-Call Duties:
Participating in on-call rotations as needed.

Extended Hours:
This is provided through our GP Federation and is a completely separate, optional role.

Job summary
We are a small friendly dispensing practice located in the beautiful setting of the National Park (Aysgarth and Hawes). Resilient, stable population of 4,300 which allows us to focus on holistic patient care.
We are looking for a part time (6 sessions) Salaried GP but are flexible and will consider salaried or part-time applicants. A start date in July 2025 but will wait for the right candidate.
We are innovative and worked with the PCN on a new Frailty Team project aiming to improve the health of our older more vulnerable population.
We are involved with teaching and would support anyone interested in expanding education or clinical research within the surgery.
This is a wonderful opportunity to practice rewarding medicine in a beautiful landscape.
We are located within 1 hour of Ripon, Kendal, Northallerton and Darlington. We are located within 45 minutes of Richmond.
Main duties of the job
Salaried GP, ideally 6 sessions a week with flexibility.
