      Job summary

      The Dalston Practice | East London

      Salaried GP - 2 to 5 sessions

      We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our friendly, supportive practice team. We offer a fixed workload (16 patient consultations per session), highly competitive salary (£13,000 - £14,000 per session), with medical indemnity cover, NHS pensions, six weeks of holiday, and one week of study leave pro rata. Number of sessions negotiable.

      Main duties of the job

      The post holder will work within the practice clinical team to deliver effective, high quality care, treatment and advice to our patients through face to face, telephone, video and online consultations, making every contact count! The position involves undertaking all the normal duties of a GP working in primary care, including (for example):

      • Surgery, telephone, video and online (eConsult) consultations
      • Referring patients to other organisations where clinically indicated
      • Actioning correspondence/clinical letters
      • Reviewing and actioning test results
      • Prescribing in accordance with patients' needs, adhering to guidance
      • Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with good practice
      • Reports and medicals
      • QOF/local contract work as agreed
      • No extended hours commitment but opportunities available if desired

      Sessions consist of a fixed workload, with minimal clinical admin (letters and prescriptions) and home visits.
