      Cruddas Park Surgery are excited to recruit a Salaried GP for six sessions (negotiable). The post would offer a new challenge to an established GP or the opportunity to flourish as a newly qualified GP.

      Consulting at Cruddas Park is GP first with an emphasis on face-to-face consulting prioritising relational continuity. The successful applicant would work as a member of a 4 partner and 7 salaried GP team supported by a skilled and diverse multidisciplinary team including The Space, a novel one stop multidisciplinary approach to addressing mental illness.

      Employment is subject to the terms of the BMA contract at £12,000 per session inclusive of paid CPD time and 6 weeks holiday pro rata. Duty rota is allocated pro rata and there is shared use of our practice electric car for home visiting. We have a clear desk policy for holidays and active social calendar including a running club.

      Main duties of the job

      The post-holder will manage a patient based caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. As a member of the team and one of the employers they will be expected to set an example to others, assist in education and training and to play a full role in target achievement and service development.

      Cruddas Park and our satellite surgery Hillsview serve a diverse and growing population of 11,800 patients.       Cruddas Park believe we offer a unique approach to Deep End primary care supporting most vulnerable through our team of GPs with special interests including homelessness, Intellectual Disability/Autism, Severe Mental Illness, Care Homes, Womens Health, Violent Patients, Safeguarding and Asylum Seekers. We would be keen to support applicants to develop interests that will benefit our growing and diverse patient population.

      Cruddas Park is an active training practice for GP Registrars and Undergraduate Medical Students. We also have active involvement in primary research. There will be opportunities for the successful applicant to be involved in both.

      As a practice we always foster an open-door policy for all clinicians with supervision available through our partnership team and fortnightly protected clinical meetings.

      We are happy to consider flexible working and would welcome applications from GPs from minoritised communities particularly practitioners who can consult in a second language or have local knowledge.

      • Qualified GP.
      • MRCGP.
      • Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
      • General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).

      Experience

      • National Performers List registration (England), noting that confirmation on this list is adequate for DBS confirmation. Primary Medical Services Performers Lists (Scotland). All Wales Medical Performers List and All Wales Locum Register (Wales). Northern Ireland Primary Medical Performers List (PMPL) (Northern Ireland).
      • Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU).
