Department Overview:
The Soap Opera on State street in Madison is looking for Sales Associate's with the opportunity to help make soaps/natural grooming products, and/or our website. Anticipated Start Date:

Money handling & sales ideal Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
We can work with all skills & interest, since we have many departments in the store. Sales is a must though for all departments.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Duties:
*Welcome customers into the store in a kind warm manor and help them find what they're looking for
*Performing our sales floor duties such as restocking, organizing, making custom scents & scrubs for customers, etc. ( You will be trained)
*Know store inventory and our specific procedures to guide customers in a positive and knowledgeable shopping experience. This would include learning The Soap Opera's gift wraps, custom scenting, and other specific procedures to help guide all orders in store, over the phone, and online smoothly
*Price new stock as well as keep it organized in it's specific location in the store (that could be putting it directly on the sales floor neatly and/or in it's back stock location
*Answer customer phone calls and emails kindly and promptly
*General Cleaning of sales floor and shop
*Setting up seasonal displays and general marketing in the store such as A-frame art work
*Learning how to navigate our website orders and products (You will be trained)
*Shipping out online orders in the correct order/manner (You will be trained)
*Blogging about house products for the website
*Knowing when special events are in the area such as the Madison Night Market, in store events, Holiday events, etc and packing up needed supplies, running the stores booth, and ensuring everything runs smoothlyPhysical Demands:
*Lift up to 50lbs
