      Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Epicurean Atlanta Hotel. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.       What you have
      Highschool diploma or Associate Degree and 2 – 3 years of relevant experience
      Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel programs
      Ability to work in an organized, effective, and efficient way
      Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
      Ability to use technology, e.g., computers, iPads, tablets
      Experience working collaboratively across different teams within an organization
      Proven ability to multitask, and able to react and handle any last minute needs or situations
      A sense of ownership in everything that you do
      What you’ll do
      Process contracts, proposals, and general correspondence for sales and catering staff as needed
      Process, coordinate, and distribute event orders, banquet checks, revisions, guarantees, event reports, group resumes, and Daily Event Sheets, for the Events Team
      Monitor phones for sales and catering staff. Qualify incoming inquiry calls and ensure that they are dealt with accurately, timely, and in a professional manner
      Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Enter group blocks into reservation system
      Work with Events Teams on detailing upcoming functions as needed including obtaining guarantees and confirming arrangements
      Assist managers on creative projects including proposals, direct mail pieces, invitations, and special events
      Input group rooming lists using reservation systems, revise room blocks to maintain the required number of available rooms, and keep organized files of all groups
      Assist guests and clients with event changes, requests, and other needs as appropriate
      Monitor ordering of office supplies and sales collateral to ensure sales offices is stocked with necessary materials
      Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned by manager

      The Sales, Events Coordinator will assist the Sales, Catering and Event Management team in obtaining customer satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to guest and hotel communications through the sales team. Other duties will include but not limited to light selling, event detailing, and group housing for smaller or social based groups.
