What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Territory Managers and customers, providing administrative support and resolving inquiries
- Process customer orders and ensure accuracy, contacting customers regarding any necessary changes or suitable substitutes
- Promote customer engagement with US Foods’ online platforms and highlight ongoing promotions to encourage up-selling
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to drive sales performance and maintain order guides
- Leverage proprietary systems and tools to provide quick and accurate responses to customer inquiries
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of previous customer service experience required; food service distribution experience preferred
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and problem resolution abilities
- Solid customer service orientation with the ability to influence and persuade customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous sales experience is preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, especially Salesforce.com, is a plus
