      As a key member of our Local & Regional (L&R) Sales Team in Europe, the Local & Regional Sales Director builds and drives the execution of the commercial strategy for the Local & Regional business in Spain and Portugal.

      You will be responsible to deliver the profitable growth objectives for your area in line with the L&R 2030 Strategy for Europe.

      Based in our Givaudan Spain's office in Barcelona/L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, the role reports to the Head of L&R Sales Europe and offers excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development.

      Your core responsibilities will be to:

      • Grow Givaudan business across the scope of L&R Spain and Portugal by managing top and bottom lines.
      • Manage a Business Team of Key Account Managers, Marketing Manager and Sales Project Coordinators (Sales Assistants), create a high performing environment with motivated accomplished individuals.
      • Develop partnerships with key accounts, including relationships with senior Level management.
      • Identify and create opportunities for Givaudan to participate in all core lists and key customer briefs.
      • Develop a thorough understanding of the business potential in the designated country.
      • Build and implement a growth strategy for Spain and Portugal, coordinating the elaboration of strategic plans for key accounts in responsibility.
      • Drive internal efforts to achieve Account Plans, collaborating with Creative Fragrance Management, Perfumery, Marketing, Consumer Research, Applications and Technology, Customer Care and Planning, Pricing, ensuring the most efficient management of Givaudan resources.
      • Monitor competitor activity.
      • Debrief projects with the account management team to understand successes and failures; identify and execute corrective actions.
      • Monitor Sales and Gross Profit Margin (including KPIs and budget) within the country, taking corrective actions when necessary to ensure business goals are achieved.
      • Manage pricing negotiations and activities within specific geographic area, in accordance with company guidelines.
      • Ensure implementation of negotiated pricing agreements; support Customer Care in managing and optimizing Supply Chain; support Credit Management in collecting receivables.

      Your Professional profile includes:

      • Bachelor's or master's degree
      • 15+ years of relevant work experience in Sales, Key Account Management, or Business Development role(s) in the Fragrance/Ingredients/FMCG sector(s), preferably in a multinational work environment.
      • Have a strong people management history of at least 5 years in successfully leading mid-sized and winning sales teams.
      • A strong passion and appreciation for the world of fragrance.
      • Good knowledge of consumers, customers, and relevant markets in Spain
      • Perfectly fluent in Spanish (verbal and written).
      • Excellent oral and written proficiency in English.
      • Knowledge of French as a third language is a plus
      • Demonstrated ability to apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills to develop account plans.
      • Strong commercial and business acumen
      • A team player with excellent people skills and comfortable with diversity
