- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them excel in their roles.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales engineering team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud-native security technologies and trends.
- Act as a subject matter expert in cloud security, providing technical guidance and insights to customers and the sales team.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor cloud security solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Assist in crafting compelling technical proposals and presentations for customers.
- Deep understanding of our cloud security products and their integration with cloud-native environments.
- Provide feedback to the product team to help shape the development of new features and enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor in cloud security matters.
- Conduct technical workshops and demonstrations to showcase our solutions.
- Work with the sales leadership to develop and execute sales strategies, contributing to the achievement of revenue targets.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on cloud-native security solutions.
- Proven experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security tools.
- Previous Cisco experience &/or leading a team of remote SE’s / SA’s in a Cloud Security startup organization.

Who You'll Work With
The Outshift team is a highly visible group within Cisco focused on developing new market opportunities. We interface with many different organizations both within Cisco as well as outside of Cisco. Teams that you’ll engage with are internal Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Engineering as well as other Cisco Generalist Sellers & Technology Overlay Sales teams. Externally, you will work with Customers & Partners as well as some Technology partners & Cloud Service Providers.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a Sales Engineering Manager that will play a critical role in driving the success of our cloud security solutions by leading a team of skilled Sales Engineers.
In this role, you'll be leading a team of Sales Engineers that will work with our Outshift Sales teams to support and build pipeline with product demo’s & customer POV/POCs, our Product & Engineering teams to help define Customer feature requests, & other Technical organizations within Cisco for technical expertise. In this highly prized role, excellent communications skills and the ability to translate technical knowledge will be critical to your success. We're looking for professionals with strong organizational and follow-up skills who work well in a team environment. Prior sales engineering or solution architect leadership experience working with the North American / EMEA markets will enhance your candidacy for this role.
