- Setting qualified appointments with plan sponsors of 401k and 403b Plans through multiple strategies, cold calling, networking, and referral
- Work within a geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross-sell solutions, reach and exceed goals and close sales.
- Attend client review meetings with Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for the top five to ten clients in the Sales Representatives territory to position the Sales Representative to ask clients for introductions and to be a reference for sales opportunities
- Two or more years of outside business-to-business sales experience with proven proficiency in selling, presentation skills, prospecting, and territory management
- Conducting outbound cold calls into prospective clients
- Highly motivated
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Strategic thinker who can work independently
- Strong relationship building and territory management skills
- Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must obtain within the first 180 days of employment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with assertive, positive, and persistent style
- Knowledge of products underwritten by the company (401k and 403b retirement plans)

- 401(k) Match: You will be eligible to receive up to 9% of your pay (salary and incentive compensation) in company contributions. A non-elective employer contribution of 3%, plus a 100% employer match on employee contributions of up to 6% of pay.

Role Summary:
Our Capital area office is one of 33 Regional Offices and several Branch Offices located across the continental United States, (in addition to our New York City Headquarters and our Boca Raton, Florida location). The Sales Representative will report to the Regional Office Head and join a dedicated team of sales representatives who are all full of energy and enthusiasm and are highly driven to succeed.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Representative will represent Mutual of America in a sales and marketing capacity to clients and prospects in an assigned territory with an emphasis on soliciting new group takeover plans and cross-selling other products.
