      J&L Wines is a family owned and operated, California wholesale distributor of fine wine and spirits seeking an Outside Sales Representative (On-Premise, Some Chains & Independent Retail) with a high level of product knowledge for Monterey County, Including Big Sur.

      Immediate opening for experienced Full Time Sales Representative. Well established account base with room to grow working exclusively with our extensive portfolio of 'local must haves" select imports and craft distilleries. You'll need to live in the territory, have a well maintained car, good driving record and ideally a minimum of 3 years experience with selling wine to be ready to take this substantial and still growing territory by the horns and run with it.

      Position Description:
      Sell J&L portfolio to established contacts while developing new prospects
      Anticipate a minimum of 12-20 customer visits daily and be personally communicating with a minimum of 20-25 customers daily.
      Facilitate sales on selected items/brands within a pre-determined period, meeting monthly and yearly sales goals and objectives.
      Develop new accounts

      Qualifications:
      Product knowledge
      College degree or equivalent experience
      Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      Ability to understand customers needs and opportunities without “over-selling”
      Ready to learn and commit to selling “the right way” with a highly detailed and professional approach
      Progressive sales experience preferably in the beverage industry
      Excellent command of written and spoken English

      Physical Standards:
      Employee must be able to walk, bend, reach, and lift, if necessary 50 pounds or more.       Compensation:
      Commission based sales position per our Outside Sales Agreement
      Auto Reimbursement and cell phone allowance
      Our benefit package includes medical, dental, vision coverage, and 401(k) matching.
