Position Vacant: Sales Representative On - Trade South
Function: Sales
Location: Port Moresby
Brief Description:
To support RSM to ensure all channel strategies are effectively implemented.
Budgeted Sales Volumes achieved
Establish and maintain an effective Distributor and customer network to capture all volume opportunities
Visibility targets obtained
Manage all local sales, marketing, logistics, payment / AR & administration requirements
Liaison with Bottle buyers to facilitate budgeted bottle returns

Key Job Responsibilities
1 Safety
Must demonstrate a preventative and proactive behaviour towards safety and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all safety audits are completed and fall within acceptable guidelines.
2 Outlet Management
Ensure all customers consistently carry the full SPB Portfolio of products. Identify product ranging and points of execution gaps across outlets and negotiate with business owners and or managers to achieve picture of success standards
Monitor sales performance across all outlets and categories and foster relationships with Business owners / management as well as key personnel to ensure sales volumes are maximized, and that SPB products are served according to company presentation and quality guidelines
Ensure proper execution of customized promotions and local ground activities with post evaluation results.
Ensure that NPD and NND company objectives are met.
Ensure that SPB recommended retail pricing is compliant and in line with SPB indexed pricing guidelines.
Actively ensure account is fully stocked with all relevant brand /pack types and manage the proper rotation of stock throughout warehouse and fridges using FIFO guidelines.
Monitor freshness across outlets and ensure that preventative plans and measures are in place to avoid issues.
Ensure that all sales reporting tasks are completed and submitted on time
Develop outlet specific customer volume driving activities where required to enhance trade standards, sales and customers relationships.
Manage all trade marketing POSM requirements for outlets in conjunction Marketing.
Provide market intelligence on competitor activities and threats to trading and submit detailed reports and evidence through to management. Ensure the timely collection of payments from credit customers and take responsibility in proactively following up on accounts falling into arrears.
Strive to exceed empty bottle refund rate by working closer with outlets and bottle buyers.
Take responsibility for attending SPB supported functions and events where required to drive brand / product awareness
3 Projects & Data Collection
Ensure reps gain ‘off take’ data for each and every outlet visited.
Complete all data collection requirements on each sales call including the updating of outlet information relating to customer contact detail, channel, segment, product and pricing information for SPB, competitor information, cold drink equipment detail, stock counts and promotion. Ensure timely delivery of reports to respective stakeholders Co-ordinate information collection and processing with respective stakeholders as required Complete and submit all Trade Incentives Program data SP Club data on time to Head Office each month
4 Cold Drink quipment Management
Ensure the company’s CBE assets are utilized effectively by having the correct equipment in each outlet to maximize sales of cold beer.
In conjunction and liaison with the Trade Services Manager coordinate requirements for repairs of CBE and ensure preventative maintenance work is completed.
Plan all forward CBE requirements by brand / model to meet assigned territory requirements.
Plan all forward store requirements by type to meet assigned territory needs.
Monitor that Trade Services Dept. are completing all sanitation requirements for draught beer equipment
