      About the Job:

      The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in enabling the success and efficiency of our sales team. This position provides vital administrative support to multiple sales representatives ensuring smooth sales processes including lead generation, opportunity management, RFQ/I response, and client onboarding support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and have a foundational understanding of logistics concepts, particularly within a multi-modal logistics environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and other departments.

      In This Role, You Will:

      Sales Administration & Coordination:

      • Assist Account Executives/Sales Representatives with preparing accurate and timely quotes, proposals, presentations, and sales reports using company templates and systems.
      • Manage and maintain sales databases, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (Salesforce) including but not limited to assisting with opportunity management, contact management and account management.
      • Coordinate internal communication between Sales, Operations, Pricing, and Billing departments to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements as required.
      • Actively generate leads, and coordinate sales campaigns (in conjunction with sales operations, sales management, and marketing) using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn and other lead generating tools and databases.
      • Schedule meetings, calls, and demonstrations for the sales team.
      • Prepare and distribute sales materials and documentation including presentation material, sell sheets and other go-to-market materials.
      • Participate in sales team-related calls and activities.

      Customer & Carrier Interaction:

      • Serve as a secondary point of contact for customer inquiries related to sales processes, quote status, and basic service questions, providing timely and professional responses as required.
      • Assist in gathering necessary documentation and information from new clients during the onboarding process.

      Data Management & Reporting:

      • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and key metrics.
      • Assist in analyzing sales data to identify trends or opportunities for sales growth.
      • Develop market intelligence and overviews using various sources of marketing intelligence.

      Process Improvement:

      • Identify opportunities to streamline sales support processes and improve efficiency.
      • Assist in maintaining and updating sales process documentation.
      • Assist with training sales team members in typical sales related tools and processes (e.g., CRM usage, reporting, intranet, ZoomInfo / LinkedIn, and other tools as necessary).

      Qualifications

        • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field is ideal.
        • Previous experience in sales support, or customer service roles within the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.
        • 3-5 years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or a related field.
        • Strong understanding of sales processes and procedures, with the ability to develop and implement best practices.
        • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
        • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
        • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales support tools (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo).
        • Proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other typical applications.
