      Responsibilities

      Builds and maintains relationships, drives written premium growth, and maintains renewal retention goals while delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction within assigned territory. Applies Underwriting, Sales, and Distribution Management skills to manage overall book of business to achieve profitability goals.

      • Applies intermediate-level Underwriting Analysis, Coverage, and Pricing skills: Proficient in assessing intricate risks across various industries utilizing historical data and industry trends to make well-informed decisions devising comprehensive risk management plans. Skillfully interprets complex financial data, evaluates financial stability and uses financial insights to guide risk assessments and pricing strategies. Demonstrates strong knowledge of loss prevention tactics to collaborate with risk engineering professionals for the purpose of devising loss prevention programs and risk mitigation solutions. Highly skills in developing complex policies that balance comprehensive coverage with accurate pricing, effective utilization of endorsements and specialized coverage options. Ability to marry coverages offered with appropriately developed coverage terms, limits and pricing based on strong aptitude and understanding of all coverage components.
      • Applies intermediate-level Underwriting & Compliance skills: Demonstrates full coordination of tasks by engaging appropriate resources and internal and external stakeholders at the appropriate times to deliver the best possible outcome in line with company standards. Operates with continuous improvement mindset and offers suggestions for Knowledgeable in insurance law and regulations, to ensure that policies meet legal requirements, and provides guidance on complex compliance issues. Expertise in creating detailed and organized documentation that clearly outlines underwriting decisions.
      • Applies intermediate-level Sales Acumen: Skills in account service, account management, cross-selling, business development, marketing strategy and positioning, negotiations, prospecting and qualifying, solution development, and competitive analysis.
      • Applies intermediate-level Distribution Management skills: Possess consultative and relationship management skills needed to build strong relationships with agency partners to drive profitable submissions. Able to prepare for and conduct effective agency review meetings that serve the goals of BFM and agent partners.

      Qualifications

      • 2-5 years inland marine insurance underwriting experience.
      • Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment
      • Intermediate-level Underwriting Analysis, Coverage, and Pricing skills ; Underwriting Process and Compliance skills; Distribution Management skills; and Sales Acumen
      • Intermediate-level skills in Collaboration, Customer Focus, Personal Growth, Innovation, Critical Thinking, and Accountability

      Education

      • College degree or equivalent job-related experience.
