      Salesforce Deployment Manager

      Job Description Summary

      The position is for an experienced and highly organized Salesforce.com Deployment/Security/Admin Offshore Leader to oversee and manage offshore Salesforce administration operations. This role will be responsible for leading a team of Salesforce offshore administrators, coordinating with onshore stakeholders, and ensuring that all Salesforce administration tasks are delivered with accuracy, timeliness, and in alignment with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical Salesforce expertise with excellent leadership and communication skills. This position will include being hands-on in a Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Deployment role.

      Key Responsibilities:

      Leadership responsibilities

      • Coordinate a team of offshore Salesforce administrators.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact between offshore teams and onshore Admin leads/manager
      • Advise on best practices/design considerations for core Salesforce administration functions.
      • Ensure system integrity through proactive monitoring, auditing, and scheduled maintenance.
      • Oversee task allocation, SLA adherence, and quality control for all offshore Salesforce administrative activities.
      • Document processes, configurations, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
      • Facilitate effective communication across time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration with global teams.

      Deployment Planning & Coordination:

      • Lead the offshore team on the deployment processes for Salesforce releases, ensuring detailed plans are in place for each deployment phase.
      • Collaborate with IT leadership, business analysts, solution architects, project managers, developers, and QA teams to align deployment and admin activities with project timelines and organizational priorities.

      Deployment Execution:

      • Manage the technical execution of Salesforce deployments, using tools such as Salesforce Change Sets, Salesforce DX, ANT Migration Tool, and other related deployment tools (Flosum, Copado, etc.).
      • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the deployment process, ensuring smooth transitions from one environment to another.
      • Identify potential risks and challenges in the deployment process, working to mitigate these risks through proactive planning and clear communication.
      • Maintain rollback plans for each release, ensuring that deployments can be quickly reversed if needed.
      • Lead post-deployment activities, including monitoring the deployment’s success and addressing any post-release issues that arise.
      • Provide timely resolution for any critical incidents and escalate issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact on business operations.

      Security Management

      • Design and manage Salesforce security architecture, including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, sharing rules, and org-wide defaults (OWD)
      • Inspect salesforce deployments for metadata security violations and best practices.
      • Design, implement, monitor and enforce best practices for least privilege access and for permissions design.
      • Design and setup integrations security, API security, connected applications and security integrations strategies.
      • Identify and remediate security risks and inappropriate access

      Version Control & Configuration Management:

      • Supervise version control practices, ensuring proper branching strategies and consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
      • Collaborate with deployment leads, admins and developers to ensure all configurations, metadata, and data are correctly versioned and ready for deployment.

      ·Risk & Issue Management:

      o Identify potential risks and challenges in the deployment process, working to mitigate these risks through proactive planning and clear communication.

      o Maintain rollback plans for each release, ensuring that deployments can be quickly reversed if needed.

      Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:

      • Act as the primary point of contact for all deployment-related inquiries, providing status updates and ensuring transparent communication with all stakeholders.
      • Work closely with Salesforce developers, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of Salesforce solutions.

      Continuous Improvement:

      • Evaluate current deployment, admin and support practices, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows and processes for greater efficiency.
      • Drive the adoption of best practices and tools to continuously improve the admin and deployment team processes.

      Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:

      • Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure that operations are efficient and can be executed efficiently and reviewed in the future.
      • Create detailed meeting notes, checklists, and reports for team mamagment and to be shared with IT stakeholders.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
      • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience in enterprise environments, with at least 4+ years in a lead or coordinator role.
      • Strong expertise with Salesforce features, including Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
      • Proficiency in managing Salesforce security, automation (Flows), and reporting/analytics.
      • Prior experience managing or coordinating offshore/onshore teams.
      • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
