Job Description

- Manage the movement of samples with meticulous attention to sample loans / shares stipulations. Account for sample deliveries from multiple internal and external resources.
- Catalog each item and manage logs to track each unit.
- Communicating with Buying, Wholesale, and Merchandise to confirm final sample designs, and to facilitate sample collection.
- Coordinate Stock Pulls from our warehouses and distribution centers.
- Keep closets at our primary office organized by categories.
- Coordinating transport of samples to the Photo Studio. Relay tracking information to Photo Studio staff.
- Coordinating and sorting sample returns and distributing them to their respective destinations.
- Work from the Photo Studio multiple times a week to offer assistance that only the Sample Coordinator can provide. Be a representative of the E-Commerce Photography team at the Photo Studio.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Office.
- At least minimal knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Be the point of authority on all sample-related inquiries for the E-Commerce Photography team. This role ensures that we have product to photograph for our e-commerce imagery. Handle Sample coordination. Keep track of when samples are needed by due dates, and alert superiors to missing styles. Create Shot Lists and ensure they accurately reflect available product. Coordinate stock pulls from our warehouses. Familiarize self with samples to the point that they can be identified upon site by program, marketing projects and special collections. Consult on sample discrepancies. Work with merchants, and buyers for sample collection and return. Sort samples for return or sample sale donations. Maintain closets at our office at 501 7th Avenue. Maintain the Merch Room at our Brooklyn Photo Studio. Must be able to work alternate days in our Photo Studio in Brooklyn, and our office in Manhattan.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
Sample Coordination at least of intern level within the Fashion Marketing and / or Fashion Photography. Knowledgeable about garment care. An understanding of styling needs. Has worked on set for Fashion Photo Shoots, with an understanding of the culture.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree

DECISION MAKING:
This position will require excellent time management skills, superior problem-solving skills, high level of organization, attention to detail, and decent memory recall.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of the business and/or ad hoc strategic initiatives. Must be able to communicate clearly with several layers of management, licensee, and service providers.
ENVIRONMENT:
Must be comfortable with working out of multiple workspaces each week. Will spend on average several days per week at the Photo Studio located in Brooklyn, and the rest of the week at our office in Midtown Manhattan. Work from Home is permissible if Photo Shoot Schedule and Sample Processing allows.
Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000
