      Sanitation Facilities Coordinator

      Summary

      The Sanitation Facilities Coordinator reports to the Sanitation Facilities Specialist Leader, while supporting the Site Sanitation Leaders. The Sanitation Facilities Coordinator will work closely with each Site Sanitation Leader to ensure the overall Sanitation program complies in the areas of internal audits, Customer requirements, Regulatory and BRC Standards and perform other duties as required.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Create and update Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) and Master Sanitation Cleaning Schedule (MSCS) working with each facility leads, chemical suppliers and other resources.
      • Ensure Sanitation completes the commission checklist for new processes and equipment installations at each facility.
      • Support SSL through internal, customer, and third-party audits.
      • Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve the sanitation program through problem resolution and transferring of best practices between facilities.
      • Responsible for tracking and ensuring training of new and existing team members on proper sanitation procedures (SSOP’s) and safety training.
      • Assist Sanitation Leaders in completing CAR (Corrective Action Report), creating OPL (One Point Lesson) and training if needed.
      • Create and maintain the “Engineering List” and log and maintain work order progress.
      • Create and update Let’s Connect action list and update with direction from SSLs.
      • Coordinate with SSLs to ensure that the wastewater lab results are up to date in P Drive.
      • Involved in creating Power Point presentations with sanitation leaders.
      • Perform other duties assigned by the Sanitation Facilities Specialist Leader, Corporate Sanitation Leaders, and Site Sanitation Leaders.

      Required Experience

      • Post-secondary education: a minimum of 2 years in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
      • Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required.
      • Great written and verbal communication skills required for creation of company documentation
      • Knowledgeable in Sanitation cleaning (wet/dry) and sanitary design in a food manufacturing environment preferred
      • Knowledgeable with BRC standard, GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines; wear proper PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
      • Continuous improvement skills a plus (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma).
      • Flexible to work all shifts and weekends if needed.
      • LOTO and WHMIS training desired.
      • Must be flexible to cover other locations if required (vacation, illnesses, audits, etc..)
      • Must be flexible to work some weekends if required (training, ssop creations, reviewing deep cleaning procedures, etc..)
      • Must be able to manage multiply tasks and projects simultaneously
