      BASIC PURPOSE

      Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of division building and related property.

      Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 7:30 PM start (until complete)


      Compensation:
      The expected base rate for this role is $18.54 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, location, and other applicable factors.

      This role will also receive:

      • Overtime compensation

      WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

      Education/Training

      • High school diploma or GED preferred

      Related Experience

      • Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience preferred

      MAIN INGREDIENTS
      Great Sanitation Workers are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the most important faces of our organization. Our Sanitation Workers strive for integrity and reliability while building trusting relationships with team members.

      • Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness

      • Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable

      • Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis

      • Cleans and recoups any spills or breakages to inventoried product; determines if salvageable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements

      • Performs light maintenance duties (e.g., replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, shrink wrap/paper collection, checking freezer and cooler leaks/ice buildup)

      • Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedules, spillage, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies

      • May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including restrooms, test kitchens, breakrooms, and more

      • Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas

      • Operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift if required to perform duties
